The Heart of Healing Conference
Eric will be a keynote speaker at The Heart of Healing Conference in Sacramento, California. The conference, geared toward medical doctors, nurses and other healthcare practitioners, will focus on emerging trends in alternative and western medicine, and developing an integrative approach to medicine, asking the question, “How then do I heal?”

Another event we’re excited to share with you is the 9th International Conference on Science and Consciousness in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Japan Welcomes the Return of The Reconnection in 2007
The Reconnection was recently featured in issues of Japanese Vogue, Marie Claire and MyLOHAS. Our 2006 seminars in Tokyo were so successful that we are delighted to announce our return to the Far East with a total of six seminars in Japan this year. The Reconnection Goes to Spain!
Celebrate with us in Barcelona! In honor of The Reconnection: Heal Others, Heal Yourself being translated into Spanish (its twenty-first translation to be released worldwide in March), we're bringing our first Spanish language Level I/II weekend seminar to Barcelona. This seminar promises to be another sold out event. To meet the growing demand of the Spanish-speaking community, we plan to bring more Spanish language seminars to you in 2008, including events in Mexico and South America.

What is an “optimal” environment? What’s in it, and what isn't? The place where you conduct a healing should simply be as pleasing as possible to both you and your patient. Following are some guidelines to keep in mind.
Creating a Comfort Zone by Eric Pearl
A patient immersed in Reconnective energy is experiencing more than a “fix-it” job. They’re permeated with light; exchanging information in a “high-level” conference with the universe. Although their awareness of the experiential aspect of their session may or may not be integral to their receiving a healing, it is a rare and valuable gift, often recognized as the experience of a lifetime. Honor this fact as part of your goal of optimizing their environment.
Therefore, given the option, patient comfort is a top priority. Usually the patient will lie down, preferably on some kind of massage table or along the foot of a bed. Generally it’s best to place the patient on their back, mainly because this position is the most comfortable for the greatest number of people, and also the most “open”—it allows them to be the most receptive and cognizant of their experience. Personally, I prefer not to have the patient use a pillow. Not because I think the pillow will interfere with the flow of energy (a wall of lead couldn't interfere with this energy), but because pillows can get in the way if you feel like moving around the head or other parts of the body. But if a patient has neck or back problems, you might need to prop up the head or place a small pillow under their knees. Please note that the healings will be just as effective whether the person is on their front, back, or side, or whether they have their eyes open and are talking, or have their eyes closed and are not talking. The difference is in the experiential aspect of the session, something that often provides very valuable and life-altering insights to people. Be sure to clearly communicate the things your patient needs to know to make their experience as complete as possible.
Point out the location of your restroom and suggest that they use it prior to the beginning of the session as they will be lying on the table for close to 30 minutes and there’s no surer way to disrupt a person’s experience than to have their bladder talking to them. For this reason, it is also not advisable to use sounds of running water for background noise or to have a fountain in the room.

Your comfort is also important, because you want to maintain a certain frame of mind when joining with the healing energies, and physical strain can detract from that. Being distracted by your own discomfort is not a gift to the person who came to you for assistance. That’s why I advocate that you keep your table at a comfortable height, one that doesn't encourage you to bend, stoop, or kneel. If the room is large enough, place the table or bed in a position that allows you to walk all the way around the patient. If you’re working in a smaller space, as I did for the first several years, you might choose to position the table against a wall so that you have the freedom to move comfortably around the open sides of the table. This will not interfere with anything.
I found that, with great regularity, people would open their eyes mid-session, seeming quite startled. Looking at me, they would point at or tap the wall the table was against and say, “I felt you standing over here.” Somehow or other, the Light doesn't recognize what we perceive as physical or spatial limitations.
Just the same, if you want to walk around the table, you want to walk around the table.
Remember: Comfort is a number-one priority in order to keep you and your patient relaxed and receptive.

Some Things are Difficult to Explain …
Stories of The Reconnection
This heartwarming “tail” came to us from someone new to Reconnective Healing. It touched the hearts of everyone here. Once you read it, it will touch yours too. Share this story with your family and friends. Help them discover what all of us already know - that once you transcend energy and technique, healings happen.
I have been a Certified Massage Therapist in California for 17 years. I recently moved to a small town in Oregon. I found your book there in a small selection of “self-help” books. I was about halfway through it when I had this interesting outcome that I would like to share with you.
My son and I were following some friends out of the driveway in our pick-up truck from their ranch. We were following them to attend the local fair. We were a short distance down the road when something white fell out from underneath their truck. It looked like a piece of trash tumbling across the pavement. As we approached the “trash,” I realized it was a kitten, Doone, who had climbed up into the engine and had then been tossed out while the truck was traveling 35+ mph. I stopped and brought the kitten into our truck and took it home. There was blood coming out of its mouth, a nicked skull near the ear and an exposed bone on its back leg. It was meowing in pain. At home, I set it down in a chair deciding what to do as the owners did not see me stop and had continued on to the fair. I thought of Reconnective Healing and asked the universe to allow me to help this suffering kitten. I remember you mentioned that you would raise your hands a distance from your client. So, I did this, slowly pulling up from the kitten. I began feeling a zig-zag sensation across the undersides of my palms. I held this for about two minutes. The kitten seemed to be going further into shock, meowing in pain and shaking strongly. I decided I wasn't helping much, changed my bloody shirt and thought the kitten would die by the time I returned home. After washing up, I wrapped the kitten in a warm sweatshirt hoping it would be comfortable until death brought it peace.
We came home three hours later. I opened the back door and there was the kitten greeting my son and me! The owners were still not home so I fed it and took it outside to do its business. I noticed the cat was still limping on its back leg in the hip area. The open wound had stopped bleeding nicely. I focused on the hip area, this time without any doubt! This happened on a Friday. By the next morning she wasn't even limping. By the following Wednesday, the wound was completely healed with no scabbed area! The owners couldn't believe how well she had healed.
